Setting goals is a normal part of every day life. It’s actually quite difficult to go through life and not make a goal. Some people make goals that cannot be measured – I just want to be happy. It’s true we all want to be happy, but that statement while being our hearts desire, makes for a poor goal.
Hence to help us set great goals, they must be “measurable”.
Making your goals measurable is really easy; think tangible outcomes. Dates, distance, quantity, weight all these things are measurable. A goal to achieve a specific weight within a specific period of time is 100% measurable. You have a start date, an achievement date and a target weight. During the journey you also have clear sign posts to confirm you’re on target or have more work to do.
When setting Faith Goals, the things we ask God for, the principle is exactly the same. Set measurable faith goals. Jesus performed a miracle feeding the 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and 3 fishes (Matthew 14:13-21)! Everything about this faith goal is measurable. 5,000 people required food and there was only enough for five possibly.
Make your faith goals measureable, add specifics about dates ie when do you need to see this miracle occur?
Login to Praying.Works, click Faith Goals and write some measurable faith goals, perhaps even update any non-measurable ones to be measurable.
